For over 14 years Halifax PRIDE/Parents Are Teachers, Too has been serving the Halifax County, NC community. We are a unique
Smart Start program, providing parenting support through home visitations and FREE Parenting Classes.
Our experienced and dedicated Parent Educators provide home visitations monthly to families in Halifax County, NC with children
ages 0 to 5. A wide range of information can be shared including: positive discipline techniques, normal chilhood growth and
development, nutrition, safety in the home etc.
We also offer FREE parenting classes quarterly. This is an evidence based 8 week course (2 hours/week) with a certificate
available upon completion.
We participate in the National Literacy Program-RIF. 725 local students receive over 2,000 "FREE" books yearly
to promote family literacy!
